Caw caw is, I think, what she said …

I can’t be sure though as I was busily staring at her eye opening and closing: American eagles (maybe all raptors?) have a double eyelid apparently. The only way I can describe it is to say that it looks like one of those old-fashioned dollies who could ‘blink’.

Mesmerising.

If you’d like to see her in action, head on up to Eagles Flying in Ballymote, and while you’re there pop in for a coffee to me!

  1. She’s a beauty. I only got to hand-feed pidgies. Cheeky pidgies at that, as they insisted on landing on me!

    • I would say this is the feathered lady that we saw the day we went to Eagles Flying. She’s lovely isn’t she? The sun was beating down on her back and she’d just lift her wings a little to get it onto her bones! Amazing crathure

What's the craic?
