(there), and laranja or orange (also, to describe a naïve person!). Being unhealthy I don’t have any of these in the house, oranges I mean, not innocent people!

And of course lambada, the Brazilian dance craze of the late 1980s back when we were all wearing fluorescent legwarmers and dreaming of Fame!

It’s also for lixo which is rubbish bin. I was going to take a picture of those hi-tech bins they have in Dublin while I was on my semi-annual trip to the Big Smoke this weekend but forgot to bring the camera! Duh!

It stands for lustri (chandelier) but I don’t have one of those to photograph, so today’s word is luva (glove). These gloves are with me a number of years and I’m kind of (whisper it!) looking forward to having the excuse to wear them on crisp winter days, but no snow purlease!
