I don’t think I’ve really mentioned the food in Brazil yet have I? Yes, I’ve alluded to how Brazilians love barbequed meat  but I haven’t described it, have I? How’s this? At our honeymoon place in the mountains above Pirenopolis we had the most gorgeous food. The cook, Cleosa, was fantastic. She made delicious soups, salads and dinners. The brekkie was an array of fresh fruits, coconut flavoured cakes and pao do cejo. The coffee, of course, out of this world. But the juices were like nothing I’ve tasted before, full of flavour, bursting with it, and all fresh, no sugar added. This photo is of some sort of lemongrass concoction that she presented us with one lunchtime. Of course we forgot to get the recipe, duh!
